Homework 3, due May 9: Kinetic theory, semi-classical statistical mechanics
Change: due day++. – 10:06AM, May 07, 2012
Addition: page 2 (red), 1(f), clarification of the Debye frequency. – 3:30PM, May 06, 2012
Homework 2, due Apr 24: Probability (with solutions)
Score stats: 94 ± 12 out of 120.
Addition: Some comments added to the solution for 3(a) (page 6). – 10:05AM, May 09, 2012
- I recommend your reading my solutions, even if you did very well. In particular, solutions to problems 7 and 3 are physics-rich. Solution to problem 2 is worth reading, too, I think. I am happy to see that everybody is very good with the evaporative deposition (problem 6) and the cumulant expansion (problem 4)!
Homework 1, due Apr 12: Thermodynamics (with solutions)
Score stats: 75 ± 11 out of 90.
