I have been contacted about this Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics 2015, to be held at UCSC, in Jan 2015.

These links seem important to check out.

More information is also appended below.

The University of California, Santa Cruz is very pleased to host one of eight APS-sponsored Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics in January 2015. Undergraduates interested in attending should apply via the national registration site: http://www.aps.org/programs/women/workshops/cuwipapp.cfm. The deadline for applications is October 31, 2014.

The conference at UC Santa Cruz will bring together successful physicists and over 100 undergraduate students to highlight career opportunities for women in physics. The meeting will provide ample opportunities for interacting with fellow female physicists, including the following activities:
   1. presentations by academic and industry professionals on their cutting edge research and personal career paths;
   2. workshops and panels on:
       - how to get involved in undergraduate research
       - the graduate school application process
       - transferring from a community college to a University of California campus
       - identifying and preparing for jobs in industry
       - science communication;
   3. a poster and oral presentation session for undergraduate attendees to present their own research
   4. social events for networking with peers
