  • Two optional big bounty questions are posted on the forum site.

    • Each question, if solved perfectly, will give you and any of your group members 50 points max (as in the midterm score). However, if your midterm score is already very good (close to 200 or above it, e.g.) your bounty may decrease substantially. (However, your good work may be considered critically if your grade lies close to the grade boundary (e.g. A and A+).) This last rule is an individual curving, applied after computing the score on the group solution.

    • Your group consists of maximum 3 students (and minimum 1 student) of 105.
    • You are welcome to consult with other people (but me) on these questions. You can ask me only to clarify the question.
    • Your group need to submit neatly written solution, after completely solving each problem. No partial solution will be accepted.
    • One or two members of the group will (probably) be required to explain your written solutions in person (just like during my office hour discussions). The lowest of the interview scores will override the score of the written solution for the group, and will become the final score on the group solution (prior to the individual curving mentioned above).
    • Due the day of the final exam.
  • Review for the final.

  • Some example problems for the final. Solutions, included.

  • Midterm (solutions) (stats and rubrics).

    • Correction: solutions, 4: powers of sin$\theta$ corrected.

  • Midterm review session summary.

  • Midterm page 1 (cover sheet).

    • Minor update -- some sentences added/tweaked. Nothing major.Sam, 10:31AM, Oct 26, 2011

  • Practice exam for the midterm. The midterm will cover everything that we covered through Oct. 20's class. (solutions)

    • Two unnecessary "squares" removed from the last page of the solutions.Sam, 2:32PM, Oct 25, 2011

    • Some steps added for the solutions of problem 4.Sam, 12:36PM, Oct 26, 2011
